Book Club: The Dinner by Herman Koch

The dinner is an international best seller. The story will have you on flipping pages to learn what coming next. The story starts with two couples who meet for a dinner party. Each couple has a fifteen-year-old son. The two boys are united by their accountability for a single horrific act; an act that has triggered a police investigation and shattered the comfortable, insulated worlds of their families. As the dinner reaches its culinary climax, the conversation finally touches on their children. As civility and friendship disintegrate, each couple show just how far they are prepared to go to protect those they love. It’s a twist of family loyalty and secrets. The book really is more about the couples then the children crime but the book really focus on Paul. it honestly took me some time get to the main point but all in all its a page turner.haven’t seen the movie yet but can’t wait to see how it adds up to the book.
My Rating:♥♥♥
